AUS 260, 143/4 (46.0 Ovs) Australia lead by 298 runs || India All Out for 105 only Day 2 first test Pune

67 wickets by Ashwin is the most by any bowler in a season in India going past the 27-year-old record set by Kapil Dev who took 63 wickets in 1979/80.

Virat Kohli was dismissed for a duck for the first time a home Test and first time in any Test in 45 inngs since Aug 2014.

105 by India is their second lowest total in a home Test against Australia. The lowest remains 104 at the Wankhede in 2004.

105 is India's lowest total to contain an individual fifty (KL Rahul 64). PRE: 121 v NZ, Wellington, 2002 (Sachin 51).

Fewest runs for which India lost their last seven wkts:
11 v Aus, today *
18 v NZ, Christchurch, 1990
21 v Eng, Lord's, 1979
21 v Eng, Oval, 2011
With the lead close to 300 now, and Australia still having 6 wickets left, it looks very uphill for India. They were a bit off with the ball the second time round - a side-effect of the pressure of a massive first innings deficit. Is the game beyond irreversibility already? Well, it wouldn't be smart to write them off. But it will take something sensational. Join us tomorrow to see if they can produce that. Cheers!
